You Were The One…

You were the one, who looked in my eyes and said: “I like you”
You were the one, who held my hands and said: “I love you”
You were the one, who promised to love me always
You were the one, who showed me the world in totally different ways
You were the one, who cared
You were the one, who said I was really honest
You were the one, who said I was a good girl
You were the one, who said all this and

You are the one, who told me you hate me
You are the one, who called me a liar
You are the one, who told me I was a flirt
You are the one, who told me I was not honest
You are the one, who said I was not a good girl
You are the one, who left me all alone
You are the one, who threw me in the darkness
You are the one, who blamed me for thousands of things
You are the one, who rejected me because of money

You are the one, who is in love with himself
You are the one, who is selfish
You are the one, who is leaving even his own country because of money
You are the one, who is using someone else for your own purposes
You are the one….

    Dear Yagana,
I love the way you use repetition to make a song. I love the way the poem turns.

  2. Pat Collins says:

Great! Leaving the last line open gives the reader the feeling of so much more to be said that cannot be expressed.
