Roya was born in Kabul and remained in Afghanistan during the Taliban period. She hopes to continue her education and eventually gain a masters degree. She wants to be a poet.

Hello, Roya,
I`m Carol and I live in Brazil, that is considered a very free country. Here the women and men have equal rights… we can vote, use very small dresses, study, work, live and travel alone, drive a car …
But, as a woman, I can`t be happy knowing that has people in the world that can`t do the same. I`m very upset whit the situation of afghan women, and I think “how can I help these people?”…
But now, what I can do is to say some words that can lead hope to you.
I`m very happy with the AWWP work, and I read almost all of your texts and loved it. Continue this work, because if it don`t bring changes, at least will let the world knowing about your situation.
And I hope someday you can come to Brazil.
