I will wait for a light in the darkness.
I will find a way, a solution.
I am a woman in a man’s society.
I am the sting in their eyes,
A black star that can’t twinkle in the sky,
Silent from birth to the end,
A toy for men to use and throw away,
A dead leaf in the fall.
But do not forget…
A woman gave you birth!
Brought you into this world!
Showed you how to live!
A woman cried for you at night when you were in pain!
Suffered pain and raised you!
I am the one who wants light in the sky.
I am the one who wants to support you and make you strong.
Why do you think about me in these wrong ways?
Why do you oppress me?
You leave me to my death.
You kill me in unimagined ways.
You leave me in pain.
I want to step aside.
I want to give you the justice!
