Moments bloom
when you look at me,
your lovely teeth
like pearls in the ocean
when you smile.
A snowfall of love
descends into my heart,
when you suck my hair,
your little fingers
walking across my face.
I feel love born in me,
You, my son, my parrot
I love you.
Because when I think of you,
I become a universe—
full of love.

So very beautiful.
I melt when I read “like pearls in the ocean/when you smile.” A universe, indeed.

A beautiful poem the conveys the depth of love for a son. Wonderful work! Nancy
Nothing compares
To the love of a mother
To her child
A love everlasting
A love that conquers
I’ve grown with a mother
I’ve grown with a father
I’ve grown with a sister
I’ve grown with an aunt
I’ve grown with an uncle
I’ve grown with a grandmother
I am a daughter,
A sister,
A niece,
A granddaughter
I can grow without the others
But no love will compare
For the love a mother has for a child
A child loves a mother
A father can beat his child
But a mother will caress her child
A father can buy stuff for his child
But a mother will be there for her child
A mother’s love
Is a love
That
Every
Child
Yearns
For.
“A child can survive without a father, but not without a mother.”
