I am tired behind these closed doors
Everywhere I go, I cannot find my way
I am tired and want only
To sit somewhere with my loneliness
And say to God:
God! I am tired
I do not want to act any more
Let me go somewhere else
A place with love and freedom,
A place of comfort and fortune
I am tired behind these closed doors
Alone with so many troubles
My house and home
My husband, my parents, my in-laws
Will not help me
Everyone has an opinion
One says, stop your job
Another says, you should not have married
Or you should not have children
Because you want your job and education
I am a strong woman behind these doors
I will keep my job
And raise my children
And improve my education
I will walk alone and open the door

Dear Seeta: I think many people will read your poem and relate to what you are going through. We know you to be very strong but even the strongest can only take so much weight and pressure at once. I hope that you will get the support you need (and deserve!) from your family, community, and workplace so that you can do all of the beautiful things that you should do! Stacy
Dear Seeta,
Your poem really struck me powerfully. The lines I that really got my attention are,
“I am tired and want only
To sit somewhere with my loneliness
And say to God …”
This is such an honest expression of the feeling of being just full-to-the-top with troubles and not knowing what to do.
And then it’s like just acknowledging that somehow gives you/the narrator the strength of a heroine.
Stay strong and open some doors! Keep writing beautiful poems!
Seeta, Your peom is very very powerful. Your strength shines through to all of us. Thank you.
hey dear!
I really enjoyed and Understand what do you mean, what you wrote that is totally right however anyone has a problem and they are thinking there is no open door to come out from that.
whenever I thinks we have God and trust on God therefore we don’t need anyone to help or support us.
believe on your ability and do whatever you want. and feel freedom
