Winter, the season of dreams
Reverie of snow
Spreading its white blanket
Covering trees with a white umbrella
Freeing us from heat, sweat, and weariness of warm days
Winter, the season of dreams
Fantasy of rain
Cleaning dust and pollution
Removing hopelessness and drought
Carrying fresh weather for deep breathing
Winter, the season of dreams
Visions of a better year ahead
Preparing the trees for a fruitful yield
Farmers for a richer harvest
And my country for beauty and peace

Asma, this poem gives such a hopeful view of winter! I love the idea that winter is for dreaming and reveries and fantasies and visions. Your use of lovely images such as “white umbrella” helps me think of winter differently.
Warmly,
Jill
The season of dreams! Ok, we’re going to take a long walk tonight to have our dinner, and I am going to be thinking about dreams, and abundance–all that is possible but unseen during these cold months. And I will think of healing. I will think of cleansing. I will think of all of this because of your poem. Thank you! Stacy
Dear Asma, I am so pleased to see your beautiful poem on the blog. Reading your poem is like being in the beautiful dream! –Pat
