I moan for Farkhunda
I cry out against her murder
and send curses to the perpetrators
They must feel shamed for their crimes
I hate their extremist thoughts
How long will we write about the
suffering of Afghan women?
When will it stop?
I moan for the loss of innocent Farkhunda who
left this world after only 27 years
Enough sitting, sitting, sitting!
In one voice we must take
equal rights for Afghan women
and go ahead with our voices united
Her eyes full of blood
I moan and my heart cries with pain
She is gone, but her painful murder is a reminder
In my choked defeat
I cry for Farkhunda.
