Evening headlines cover Kabul
Another explosion, many died, hundreds injured

We don’t know the meaning of a normal day
Death’s monster waits for us in the streets

Kabul, my home, my poor wounded city
I am full of destructed feelings, I cry for you

I can’t do anything, I am not allowed
I can do only one thing, scream in silence

No hope for blooming again, unknown future
Dreams escape, empty emotions

One day it is Taliban; then it is ISIS
It is my heart full of hate; it is my loved ones who die

Where can I go and where can I rest?
Kabul with your wounds and your scars

I am full of fear, will you care?
My heart is broken, I only share
