Your sky is clear and serene with different stars
Mine is smoggy and dark because of wars
However, I believe we can reach the same sky
It is hard to have peace, but let us try
Peace, you are like a sea that gives comfort and joys
Without you, I fall
Without you, my sorrows are getting older
Gradually my heart is getting colder
Open this jail and release my hands once again
I am waiting

Beheshta — I am so happy to see your beautifully written poem here. Your words communicate such a longing for peace — something that many in Afghanistan must feel too. Thank you for expressing this painful desire so well. All best wishes, Nancy

Hello Beheshta!
Your poem gave me hope to change the world. Hearing a story from an actual person gave me a whole new perspective. Instead of hearing from the news, I was able to hear your real voice through this poem. Your desire for peace and justice has made me want to reach out and come a realization that people are waiting for some type of help. Thank you.
Thanks dear, your kind comment means a lot.
