Winter is my favorite season. We are off from school for three months, so we take some courses and in our free time we go to our relatives’ house. We have a game we play in winter sometimes. It is called mahmane, or “guest”—where we make eggs from the snow and we bring them to someone’s house so they will invite us in and we bring a list of foods that they buy. This is one of the games we play in the snow. Here is a poem for winter.

Open your eyes
Think so deep
The sky is dark
The ground is white

Open your eyes
Think so deep
No sound of a bird
No sound of a car

Open your eyes
Think so deep
No leaves in ground
No sun shining in sky

Open your eyes
Think so deep
Every one is sad
Snow man makes them happy
It is winter.
